Making an infographic was surprisingly fun, sort of like interior design but on a little scale. I never really thought about how many infographics are used everyday. They are on billboards, websites and even on social media/ Ironically, the infographic I made was on social media usage, specifically, how many people internationally use the social medias: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Facebook topped the list with over a 1 billion users followed by Snapchat with 400 Million. Close behind is Twitter with 261 million and bringing up the rear is Instagram with 1 million. Facebook was created first of all of the sites included therefore it makes sense that it is the leader in number of users. However, Snapchat is the most recent and comes in second. This could be due to the booming popularity of Snapchat with the younger generations in all countries…

The Importance of a Branding Guide
Many businesses I come across don’t have a branding guide, for varying reasons. Their friend designed their logo, they didn’t pay for that as part of the package, they didn’t see value in it.
And, despite advocating the use of them to others, up until recently, I fell into that same category. I reasoned that I did all my own design, so I didn’t need a document to remind me.
So why the change?
A good branding guide forms the foundation of your brand. It helps you, as well as other services you work with, to keep consistent design and aesthetic. This helps your customers recognise, and feel comfortable with your brand.
